IDrive Simplifies Mac Backup To The Cloud

The maker of the popular IDrive online backup service, Pro Softnet Corporation, has announced that users of their Macintosh client now have full support for Apple Time Machine backups. The way it's described, backing up your data sounds fairly simple. Once you have the Time Machine folder selected for backup to the IDrive online account, IDrive automatically keeps your data protected for a redundant backup.

Raghu Kulkarni, CEO for Pro Softnet Corporation, had the following to say about the latest enhancements to IDrive, "many Mac owners use Time Machine to keep their important files protected. Now IDrive can keep Time Machine backups doubly secure by keeping a copy in the online storage account, which is a prudent strategy in the event a disaster wipes out the Mac & the hard drive with the local backup. The new Rapid Serve program gets restores done quickly by shipping a hard drive to the user instead of waiting on the Internet."

If you're unfamiliar with IDrive, it's a premium online backup service that protects over 750,000 users with more than 15 Petabytes of total storage to date.
